This was one of those weeks...Welp I started back to school this week and had to get ready to pay rent for October because I can only pay using checks, even though the landlord would prefer direct deposit because my card info was stolen when I first moved in and it took several weeks to finally find an address where the friend whose address I've been using to satisfy my US bank requirements for US addresses only could send the new card because apparently Costa Rica doesn't have addresses they just have directions that they give people and that everyone is just supposed to know only to realize that while I thought she had sent the card as soon as I gave her the address she had been unable to because she and her entire family of seven had come down with coronavirus one by one and had been quarantined for several weeks and wasn't able to send the card until this week oh and the point of paying rent with international checks several weeks before rent is due is that it takes three weeks to process the request and I have been living off of the cash I carried with me coming into the country to pay bills and purchase groceries and I had to ask one of my co-workers to spot me the cash which I was immediately able to pay her back for because she thankfully has Venmo and PayPal and I had to figure out how to do a trip to Nicaragua to renew my Visa so that I don't wind up with a huge fine and getting deported because Costa Rican are sticklers about foreigners and why can't my work pay for me to have a bank account here in Costa Rica instead of using PayPal to pay me which would make paying my rent so much easier and why didn't my landlords go between lady tell me that my landlord has been paying my utilities and that I will have to pay for those utilities now and why is this so much more hectic than I had planned I guess because life is hectic and that's all there is to it then of course I tried to use my card number to get a rental car by paying for it online only to have them tell me when I went to pick up the vehicle that they can only give me the vehicle if they can see my card in-real-life so I had to take a bus to Nicaragua which is always uncomfortable and gross plus my classes started mid-way through the week and they wanted all of the reading done and the quizzes taken and the essay responses done by today which is only four days and there is a TON of reading and writing because now all of my classes and 3000-4000 level and the teachers are super no nonsense which is great but a bit much at this point in my Costa Rica life because of the whole Visa renewal thing so I stayed up all night last night partially in order to complete everything on time with time to spare so I wouldn't have to worry about school for a few days and partially because the little cantina behind my apartment complex that hosts venues on the weekends had a very loud fiesta going until about 4:30 am (honestly) it was the loudest fiesta they have had since I've been here and there was no way I was going to be able to sleep so now I'm tired and VERY grumpy and I nearly ripped off one of my fellow bus passengers heads when they kept putting their elbow on our shared armrest also I had to rush to get cash because how was I supposed to survive in Nicaragua for a week without any cash honestly what a nightmare at least they provide free breakfast everyday and the rooms have little kitchenettes so I went grocery shopping so that I could have food while I'm in Nicaragua without having to spend money constantly I couldn't even enjoy the scenery of the drive up to Nicaragua and you can forget about catching up on sleep on the bus...

And now? Time to Lambert and chill...
